Well-being at Work

IDEMIA’s management is committed to safeguarding employees’ health and safety, both at their place of work and in the course of business travel, and IDEMIA focuses on embedding a strong culture of prevention, ensuring the clear definition and communication of health and safety responsibilities for all through the Health & Safety Manual.

IDEMIA has adopted a program of deploying ISO45001 (ex-OHSAS 18001) certifications at sites.

The company’s health and safety objectives are to:

  • Preserve the health and safety of the workforce, significantly reducing the risks of occupational diseases and accidents.
  • Include the evaluation of health and safety impact at the product development stage.
  • Communicate on health and safety actions and results.
  • Comply with all applicable health and safety legislation.
  • Educate and train employees to be aware of the health and safety stakes and to adhere to the company policy.

Health and safety performance indicators are measured across the business.

IDEMIA delivers to its employees a worldwide system of protection. A dedicated Travel Risk Officer ensures that all countries employees are required to visit grant a minimum level of security. If necessary, the Travel Risk Officer conducts on-site checks and organizes dedicated local security staff.

Labor Practices

Per its UN Global Compact pledge, IDEMIA respects labor rights: upholding the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining, the elimination of forced and compulsory labor, the abolition of child labor, non-discrimination in employment and occupation.

Diversity, non-discrimination, transparent and fair recruitment, mobility, training, equal opportunities, anti-harassment and bullying are just some of the areas in which IDEMIA has established policies and procedures, always ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws.

Employee Engagement

IDEMIA highly values its employees and their incredible passion and skills, which drive the business. Part of what makes IDEMIA a workplace to be proud of is the culture of open communication between the company and its international workforce. Everyone has the right to receive clear, transparent communication on matters, which affect the whole company, such as general working conditions and business change. Social dialogue is installed at IDEMIA and it takes pride in its interactions with employee representatives at different sites.

What’s more, each year employees are given the opportunity to express their level of engagement through a poll, to gauge satisfaction levels and to reach out for employee feedback on events and developments. The highest acclaim is indicated by more than 90% of employees, across all departments, considering that their mission makes a positive impact on IDEMIA’s clients. Hundreds of improvement actions have been generated from the feedback of this annual survey.
