Reinforcing a commitment to sustainability, digital inclusion, and education.

IDEMIA Secure Transactions (IST), a global leader in secure connectivity and payment solutions, announces that its Málaga site has donated fully refurbished laptops to IES Portada Alta, a public educational institution in Málaga, Spain.

This initiative aligns with IST’s commitment to sustainability, digital inclusion, and education, giving IT equipment a second life through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) IMPACT program. It also reflects the company’s dedication to supporting the communities in which it operates by providing access to essential digital resources.

A special thanks to Informática Teatinos SL for expertly refurbishing the laptops, ensuring they were fully operational for donation. We also acknowledge the dedication of our IDEMIA Secure Transactions IT team in making this initiative a reality. By refurbishing and donating these devices, the company helps students gain access to essential technology, enhancing their learning and professional development opportunities.
Mikkel Escartin, Digital Business Line Director and Málaga site manager, IDEMIA Secure Transactions

IES Portada Alta, operating under the Junta de Andalucía, expressed its gratitude, emphasizing that the laptops will be integrated into the school’s curriculum to support the students’ academic progress.

IST’s Digital Solutions Excellence Center was established in Málaga in 1998, originally under the name “Prodo”. The site hosts 40 experts, including engineers and product managers, specializing in digital solutions.

Through this donation, IST Málaga reaffirms its commitment to education, sustainability, and digital literacy, contributing to a more inclusive and responsible future.
