Protecting the main portrait with LASINK™ Origin
With the number of passengers expected to double by 2037, preventing fraud on both lost and stolen travel documents has taken on even more importance.
The three-day train-the-trainer activity co-organized for the first time by INTERPOL’s Counterfeit Currency and Security Documents (CCSD) branch and IDEMIA involved border control and immigration officers, document experts and forensic document examiners.
The training was the occasion to exchange views with INTERPOL on the security features to ensure the authenticity and integrity of the identity documents. IDEMIA develops innovative techniques to protect passport documents such as Stereo Laser Image, 3D portrait techniques, or colour laser engraving with LASINK.
