IDEMIA and Soft Space deploy MPoC certified SoftPOS solution

Together, they will be able to equip its customers with Mobile Payment Commercial off-the-shelf (MPoC) certified SoftPOS solutions with immediate effect. Soft Space, a global leader in fintech-as-a-service (FaaS), is the first company to receive the end-to-end MPoC Solution certification from the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC)1. This certification awarded on February 26, 2024, signifies a pivotal moment in payment standards, paving the way for current and upcoming IST customers to enjoy the benefits of MPoC certification.

The MPoC certification is the most complete PCI SSC certification for SoftPOS solutions, enabling the launch of live SoftPOS globally. The full certification covers all MPoC’s domains from frontend to backend that differs from partial certifications (such as MPoC Software, MPoC Attestation and Monitoring Services). Businesses working with a provider holding partial certification will need to budget for additional certifications to launch a complete live solution.

MPoC is currently the most comprehensive and flexible standard, surpassing previous standards such as SPoC (Software-based PIN Entry on Commercial Off-The-Shelf) and CPoC (Contactless Payments on Commercial Off-The-Shelf).
